We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce into its next phase of growth. The CEO will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Chamber with the board of directors, overseeing all operations, and ensuring that the organization meets its financial and operational goals. This role requires a strong leader with strong business acumen, a proven track record in senior leadership and collaboration, and the ability to inspire staff and volunteer teams to achieve excellence.
Overarching Duties
The CEO, by authority granted by the Board of Directors, directs and leads the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce toward its mission. Key areas of responsibility include: providing leadership for operations, fiscal management, marketing, fundraising, public/community relations, program development, human resource management, strategic direction, and developing activities that promote the Greater Roseville Area business community. The overall task of the CEO is to plan, organize and direct the operations to enable the Chamber to carry out its functions in the core areas of membership development, community and workforce development, and government affairs.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader looking to make a significant impact in our northern California community. The Roseville Area Chamber is one of five chambers in CA designated as 5-star accredited by the U.S. Chamber. It serves as a pivotal advocate for the local business community, representing over 1,200 members with an annual budget of $1.6 million and a dedicated staff of 11. Our mission focuses on fostering economic growth, enhancing workforce development, and advocating for policies that benefit our members and the broader community.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, or equivalent experience
Specific leadership experience with a Chamber, Destination Marketing Organization, and/or Convention & Visitors Bureau
Significant experience in the areas of general marketing, sales, media, public relations, and electronic mediums (digital and social)
Demonstrated experience in program management, budgeting, expenditure control, and revenue generation
Experience in managing volunteers in both work-related and advisory board capacity
Experience in workforce development and talent pipeline management (preferred)
Ability to bring industry experience and contacts to the position
Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills
A passion for mission-based marketing and relationship building
Good understanding of non-profit structure, rules, and guidelines
Working knowledge of basic financial concepts and statements, cash flow, profit, and loss statements
Strong leadership and communication skills both internally and with external customers and stakeholders, including local elected officials
Highly organized with attention to follow up and follow through
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and cooperatively with others and build coalitions with key partners
Experience with talent acquisition and management
Ability to understand and use quantitative and qualitative matrices as evaluative tools
Consensus-building skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office
W.A.C.E. Academy Graduate or U.S. Chamber Institute Graduate preferred
