The primary responsibilities of the Membership & Community Relations Manager will be to attract new chamber members, retain existing members, and close sponsorships tied to events and programs. This person is expected to professionally represent the organization at public events, including those hosted by the Chamber, Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Taney County Partnership.
Essential Duties:
Calls on prospective members, educates businesses on membership level options (tiered dues), and signs up new chamber members.
Coordinates ribbon cuttings and grand openings for new members and helps conduct Facebook Live videos with digital team members.
Assists in new member onboarding, including the assembly and delivery of new member packets.
Monitors aging reports (accounts receivable) and collects from overdue members. This may include in-person delivery of invoices, phone calls, and emails.
Serves as Chamber/CVB spokesperson and representative across the region. Examples include Lodging Associations, Rotary Clubs, golf tournaments, etc.
Organizes and presents at quarterly "VIP Luncheons" for new members, educating businesses on the benefits and opportunities associated with their membership.
Presents (with PowerPoint) membership investment report to Chamber Board of Directors at each monthly meeting.
Collaborates with Member Experience Manager to ensure membership benefits are being fulfilled for roughly 800 chamber members.
Communicates with members and non-members the Chamber/CVB's mission of growing the economy, advocating for businesses, and telling Branson's story through marketing.
Organizes and manages volunteers in "ambassador" and "diplomat" programs.
Completes and manages monthly expense and mileage reports.
Demonstrates a commitment to the Chamber's Strategic Plan in all work areas.
Assists in securing sponsorships for events and programs (such as digital advertising).
Connects members and non-members with employment and network opportunities.
Assists Chamber/CVB events team in setting up and tearing down for community events including annual luncheons, "Good Morning, Branson" and "Business After Hours".
Demonstrates commitment to the Chamber/CVB's mission in all work.
Maintains a professional, courteous manner while conducting business inside and outside the organization.

Advanced knowledge of the Branson/Lakes Area.
Strong customer service orientation paired with exceptional public speaking and listening skills.
Computer proficiency obtained in an average office setting.
Ability to prioritize projects and manage time to meet deadlines and performance goals.
Ability to prepare records, reports, and correspondence neatly and professionally.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy when encountering conflict and/or handling sensitive and confidential information.
