About Saline Area Chamber of Commerce
The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is located in Saline, MI. Ask anyone who lives, works, or owns a business in Saline and they're almost sure to tell you some variation of this thought: "We're a friendly, family-oriented town." In Saline you'll find upscale shops, restaurants, and services - in and around our quaint, intimate downtown and surrounding our clean, safe neighborhoods - while enjoying natural beauty and room to roam on the city's rural edges. Saline is located just south of Ann Arbor Michigan. The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) serves the local City of Saline and the local townships of Bridgewater, Lodi, Pittsfield, Saline and York. The population in the SACC area is approximately 65,000 Some of the large companies in the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is DTE, Toyota, Rehmann, Thomson Reuters, Liebherr, McNaughton-Gunn, Kyocera, Jac Products, MMI Engineered Solutions, American Soy Products, Flat-out Bread and EHM Senior Solutions. The Vision of the SACC is to cooperatively strive with its membership, business, schools, professionals and all levels of government to maintain the Saline area and surrounding communities as an outstanding place to... work and live. The SACC board of directors is organized around the five pillars of the chamber that includes the following: a) Business Development Activities...launching new programs on interest to our member's business. This last year the SACC worked with the Saline Public schools in developing a career night. We had over 450 people (students and parents) and over 48 companies discuss jobs that are available in the area. b) Networking Activities...provides opportunities for member businesses to connect with other members plus provides an avenue for business to grow their business by allowing member businesses to share what makes their business special. Late Lunch Tuesdays, Women in Business, and Business Breakfast are a few of the activities. c) Promoting Activities...focuses on promoting brand awareness of the membership business. Some of the activities to promote member's businesses include the SACC Directory, social media posts, People's Choice Awards and advertising on our unique website. d) Professional Development Activities...helps educate members on the latest business topics. HR Excellence is focused on the latest HR topics and Operational Excellence is directed towards Senior Management and is focused on the latest management practices and management tools. e) Outreaching Activities...provide an avenue to give back to our community and improve the quality of life in the area. Some of the events include the Annual Holiday Parade (5,500 people attend with ~200 floats/groups/business participates) Business Awards to local companies and Saline Salutes to recognize those in the community that give back. . The SACC has about 250 members with the potential to expand to 400 members.. The position offers a salary of $70k without any benefits plus an incentive program based on new businesses that join the SACC.
