The Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) is committed to unifying and strengthening local businesses and the greater Crofton community. We build connections through a wide array of programs and events that members find both professionally and personally rewarding. The Executive Director provides leadership for all aspects of the chamber’s operations, emphasizing long-term goals, increasing membership, driving revenue, promoting local advocacy, and building community relations. 

We seek high-impact executive director candidates who are motivated and organized to build partnerships and increase membership and sponsorship opportunities. Successful candidates will oversee the mission and financial management of the chamber.

The ideal candidate(s) will possess: 

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong executive and supervisory skills, including the ability to set expectations and manage performance, plan, organize, lead, delegate, and monitor
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures, and proficiency in Google Office Suite or similar software
  • Experience in Social Media management, including planning and execution.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, including management of programs, staffing, membership, marketing efforts, and general finances.
• Build partnerships with other organizations and drive higher-level membership and sponsorship sales
• Serve as the principal spokesperson and ambassador for the Chamber and represent the Chamber at business and community events, meetings, etc.
• Develops and maintain a positive and helpful relationship with the county and state governmental agencies, neighboring Chambers, and the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce
• Lead, direct, and develop the Chamber’s fundraising strategies and capital campaigns
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, create better business practices, and an organizational structure that will optimize performance and operating results
